Just for kicks I emerge from the statue of the Blessed Virgin standing to the left of the main gate. I glare at them with my good eye and hiss for effect. This act never gets old and it's hilarious to watch the shift in expression from "self-righteous zealot" to "so scared I'm gonna piss my pants." I'm over a thousand years old and I've never gotten sick of it.
Auris watched her, amused by the drama of emotions that played in the shades of gold in the amber eyes. Her face suddenly was stone under his gaze. The stubbornly blank look forced a mocking smile to his lips. Auris sized her up quickly. The hunter had a round face with defined cheekbones, rounded nose set between big almond shaped eyes lined with thick lashes. Her thick lips were a streak of rose brushed lovingly onto her skin. She was all curves, broad hips and heavy of the chest; a body that was pampered and healthy, unscarred and fresh like a hothouse rose bud. She was clean, untouched. Delicious.
Her madness is deepening; so much so it is as if being near Lilith will drive out the order in your mind. The newly born Lilim are raised by a caste of ancients we call Raisers. The honored members of this caste care for Lilith's newborns because her sanity was driven out by pain long before I was born. She is also closely guarded to protect her from harm from herself and others. Her nails are trimmed methodically and her chambers are free of sharp corners as you would for a baby. Lilith abandoned Eden long before Death could touch her, but no Lilim desires to see her injured should she throw a fit. In spite of the danger her madness poses I do not hesitate to lay my head onto her lap. I have nothing to fear from my mother.
